Light is a storyteller of its own. Less setup, more atmosphere.

Why We Design and Manufacture in the Heart of Mile End

Inside the domain of architectural lighting, the distinction between a product and a spatial intervention resides in its contextual soul. For us, the act of creation is inseparable from our surroundings. We are not merely a studio; we are a practice that designs and manufactures architectural lighting within the very urban fabric that inspires us.

Our anchor is Montreal’s Mile End—a neighbourhood that functions less like a postal code and more like an active laboratory for light, shadow, and human scale.

Our presence here is a matter of deep-rooted continuity. We feel profoundly at home in these streets, having evolved from our former company just one block over. This wasn’t a move of convenience, but a re-engagement with the same urban grain. By keeping our manufacturing and design under one roof in this specific locale, we ensure that the “hand” of the maker never loses touch with the “eye” of the architect.

We maintain a principled refusal of the suburban office typology. We reject the isolation of the featureless steel box—those sterile places where the pedestrian is a myth, and the horizon is a wide expanse of asphalt. To design in such a vacuum is to ignore the primary purpose of light: to facilitate human connection and define space.
